Ok so i have a problem here. I really want to work on my suspension and get a strut tower brace and front/rear sway bars, but AM is selling the NX wet plate N2O kit i've been wanting for a while for $450.00. I know Nitrous is awesome but i really want to get my suspension up to par. Gimme some help :SNSign:

See thats the problem. You "know" what you need to do, but you "know" what you WANT to do haha :rlaugh:I always said on my next car I am going to build it right, starting with the drivetrain and suspension first. But If I was in your shoes, Id be ordering the juice  But remember, gonna need tuned, plugs, fuel maybe, etc. So sometimes its more then just the "nitrous" kit, its the stuff that goes with it that adds up

The tune is not a problem since i have the Sniper Special Forces, i'm pretty sure i'll be good on fuel, but i want to get a bottle heater/window switch/ and remote opener and i want to get it all at the same time so thats where it'll get pricey:(

Yeah, on my old 91 gt I had the zex kit. I didnt have a bottle heater, window switch, opener, and gauges. I wish I woulda. It all adds up, you can get away without that stuff, but trust me, if you do it, do it right or you might be sorry. I was

Yea see my whole plan was to finally finish my suspension, then sn@tch up the NX kit with all the accessories and so from there that way i'd have time to save up to do it One shot, one kill style(all at once). I did all the math and if i went the Strut tower brace/sway bar route it's only 410 but the N2O and accessories is like over a grand...

Nitrous, nitrous, NITROUS!!!

I about crapped my pants when I saw what AM was selling the plate kits for. If it wasn't right after the holidays I would have one on the way to my house.

Sways can be done later, chances are you will not find a new NX kit for that price ANY time soon.

As far as nitrous adding up to a grand, it doesn't HAVE to be that expensive right now. Buy the kit while it's cheap, get the other parts as you can. You are 100% safe to run that kit with the addition of a window switch and pressure gauge. The other stuff is nice to have, but not needed. You allready have the second biggest part ready to be take care of, which would be the tune.

if you are gonna spray it you WILL need a fuel system. dont do it on the stock gt tank and sender. im sure people will tell you it will be fine. maybe it will....for a little while. cobra tank and pumps and you dont have to worry. too many guys have run the bucket dry and blown motors.
buddy of mine sprays 100 shot with a gt supercar pump in the stock gt tank and ran it dry and bent an electrode over. he was very lucky not to have blown it up.he has now upgraded.just my .02.

Unless he was under an 1/8th of a tank that shouldn't have happened. Even then you really shouldn't be beating on any car with that little of fuel.

Very few people upgrade the fuel system when they spray a small shot (100 or less). At most you would need a SVT Focus pump. A Cobra thank and pumps is a little extreme, I didn't even run that untill I was running like 12psi of boost.

Suspension 1st, then power mods...Thats usually how I do it. I see u already have a few choice suspension mods, but what struts/shocks are u running? If u havent done those yet, I would do that before sway bars. The stock front bar is more than enough, & I would only upgrade the rear to a 94-04 Cobra spec sway bar.

With a manual trans you will definitely want a window switch - missed gear or running too deep into the redline with nitrous can be an expensive mistake. The plastic intake manifold is a potential hazard as well - although many users on here have had no issues with it failing while on the juice - an aftermarket manifold is a good insurance policy against a blown motor. Whatever you decide to go with - it will definitely make for a more enjoyable ride!

I say finish up the suspension. GTs seem to really like better sway bars  I thought you already have a strut tower brace?
