(pics)what would you pay for a 2010 gt with...

Theres a 2010 black GT here locally with Roush stage 2 suspension, leather, Roush shifter, Roush CAI, 19" 5 spokes. It only has 7500 miles and the asking price is $28,500. This sounds like a pretty decent price to me considering the mileage and the suspension upgrade, cai and shifter. If I were to get it $28K out the door--is that a good price? Going to look at it tomorrow-looks immac from the pics. If I'm feelin it --I'm gonna bring the sucker home. Just want to know if price is in right range. Thanks all...

I don't know what the Roush equipment adds to the price, but you are close to new range with current rebates.

Spend 2k more and get a new 5.0 or if you want a car with better handling then the 2010 GT but with about the same 0-60 times then go for the new 2011 V6.

$28k for a used 2010 GT seems way too high. I agree with stanmckinney though, pretty sure you can get a brand new one with single or double digit miles for that much, if not less with the 5.0 coming out soon.

interesting. So what should I be shooting for? $24,000? Thats pretty far off from what they're asking. Do you guys think the mods count for anything?

Mods don't count for anything on a trade, so I would say the same retail. That is why most people remove them before trading/selling. I paid that for a brand new loaded 2010 GT Premium (MSRP $35K) that looks just like the one in your pic, but no Roush products. It is stock for now and had 5 miles on it.

And good luck finding a 2011GT for $2k more. It won't happen anytime soon. More like $8k more. You can do a lot of mods for that much cash. Contrary to popular belief, dealers are not completeling caving on the prices of the 2010 GTs. V-6s, that is a different story.

Gullo in conroe has them going for 28,8xx for a base gt. Im sure after TTL and everything you will be around 30 to 31,xxx.

So what do you guys think I should be shooting for? Gimme an "out the door" target price.

I'm about to email the dealer and inquire about the high price tag, and tell them since it's not an actual Roush the mods don't add to the value.

What I need to know is what the price should be for a bone stock gt. I'm having trouble with Kelly Blue Book and edmunds. Kbb doesnt acknowledge 2010 as a used vehicle. and edmunds is pricing it even higher than what the dealer is asking for it. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I just went to kbb and put in the same specs for a 2009 (they don't list 2010s yet). They came up with $27,850 for a 2009 GT. So I would say ask 25k but take up to 28k and no more then 28k.

I would say to wait for a 2011 gt and spend more or get a 2011 v6 and mod it do some more research and make sure whatever u buy is what u want.

if you are going with it i would say $25000 out the door. tell the dealer that u know the new v6 make 10 hp less and the new gt's have well over 100 hp more, proven already ford underrated this beast. if they dont want to work with you say you will go elsewhere.

I dont know how old u are but i made the mistake of settling for my first mustang and was never happy with it especially when i had payments really close to the guys that had the 99 and up style.

Also they probably gave the person who traded it in $23k or less, dealers always have bargaining room with there asking price and with newer cars always price them $5k more than what they have in them.

Economy is crap right now no matter what they say you have the upper hand in bargaining with them.

well, I'm about to print outs some pages with comparable mustangs and prices and make my way to the dealer. I'm gonna start at $26K out the door, if everything seems ok from a test drive. I'll be armed with info which will help my argument that it's overpriced.

I really don't want a v6. I've had my heart set on a GT and thats what I'm gonna get. I don't want any remorse after the fact. What I have to consider, is how much this stuff would have cost me to do myself. I think if I can get out with a couple thousand knocked of the asking retail price, I'm not that bad off. The roush parts alone are about $2000 dollars. Doesnt count labor.

I would say offer $25k and see what they do. Again I just paid what they are asking for a brand new one. If you can't get them to move on this one, maybe look at a new one. The rebate is $3K right now also, maybe more if you finance through FMCC. I paid cash.

Make sure it drives right also. I recommend at least driving and new one and then this one and comparing the two.

My dealer has base 2010 GTs for $22,800, so it is comparable to what I was saying. That is $6k cheaper than the base 2011's you refer to and the difference gets larger as the sticker does.
