what would your next mod be?

Like Jeremy I wanted to know what you expect out of your car but I see you answered those Questions.

Your answers to me looks like street car city and IMHO that means the focus is on low to mid range torque and the more the better.

I'll focus my thoughts to the motor only.

LT's usually will give some low end and quite a bit of mid range power over shorty headers but your equal length type of headers might not be hurting you as much as the regular shortys.

How about a cam that would work well with those Thumper heads? I am biased when it comes to cam selection but then again my custom cam gave me everything and more than I expected. IMHO a custom cam is worth the money from guys like Curtis, Rawls, Allen and the like.

A wide band to go with your Tweecer would allow you to tune to the razors edge of max spark and least fuel for max power output.

thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. can a cam be installed by a pro in 6 hours or less? i would have to drop it off in the morning and pick it up after work.

i think next for me will be a short throw shifter. which one?

is a msd a waste of money for my setup?

I don't know if I would go as far to say the MSD would be a waste of money.

You do see a lot power adder guys run them cause of spark blow out.

Lots of NA combos hit the 300 rwhp mark with the stock ignition.

Not sure on the time of a cam swap, it should be able to be done in a day forseing any probs that happen during the install.

1. Either a pro 5.0 or a Steeda Tri ax are good. Dont start a Pro 5.0 VS Tri Ax war :D , just pick one you will be happy w/ either.

2. No a MSD would not be a waste at this point, the more you mod the car the more likly you will need one so if you have been leaning towards getting one anyway then go ahead. I bought mine off Ebay for $130. Its in my sig but we dident actaully put in on yet, just dident have time but I'll get to it next spring.

Definately the short throw shifter. It would be my first mod again, no question. It took me about an hour and a half alone and I had NEVER done anything to a car before that, excluding changing oil and filters.

Be careful when you're taking off the bezel piece, it struck me as kinda flimsy.

Check out the sig....not much. But I want a real solid foundation before I even think about engine mods. I'm fairly new to the game so I'm thinking suspension or shift kit after reading (AND after Cobra front brakes). Which first or is there another essential I'm missing that should come first??? What the overall opinion on pullies, heard charging issues are a bi***

Pulleys were one of the best bang-for-the-buck mods I ever did. They took me from a 14.9 at 91.5 to a 14.6 at 94.89mph. Charging issues are more associated with the fox body cars, our cars have a 130amp alternator. I've had pulleys on my car for YEARS, and at one point in time I even had a stereo system in my car... I never had any issues. the lights dim at idle, but that's it.

Thanks much Killer, I'll go for pullies after the brakes.....I really need to be able to stop though :nice: Shocks/struts may beat out the shift kit b/c of the overall crappy feel of the ride. Hope I'm not missing any other givens
