Whats a 99 gt usually go for??

Ive got about $6800 and I REALLY want a gt. I dont want a 98 or less and i like the 99. Ive never bought or owned a mustang, so does Anyone know the average price for a 99 gt with less than 90,000 miles on it?? Anyone recently bought one? I checked Edmunds.com and it say about 6,000, but I know its probably different. Any info appreciated. thanks. Also, are there any known or normal problems with it?

Depends on a lot. I bought mine last year for 9400. Paid a little more because it had the mods i wanted. I would say 8k would get you a solid car. Mods and miles are going to vary the price. A stock 99 with about 80k on it could prolly be had for around 7300.

If you can, save a little more for one if you dont run across one in your range right away. The only 99's ive seen for less price have either been beaten or wrecked, or high miles.

I bought my 2000 for $7800 and I think thats a fair deal. You CAN find them for that year in good shape, its just a luck/waiting game.
