I don't know rocker arms at all. I was hoping some people could point me in the right direction for a decent set. As the title says, I am looking for 1.7 stud mount.

Thanks,
Gabe

I guess something like $200-250. Would that price buy junk?

I've been very happy with my Scorpions.

btw, if you are gonna go with a cam later, you might wanna consider 1.6's.

I got a set of trick flow rockers and they look pretty good. Look into those and comp cams and crane cams rockers.

That ushally means they come with the valves and springs installed. But I have never seen heads come with rockers unless it's some kind of special deal.

It also depends on your spring pressure. The ped bolts are pretty small and if you have a decent amount of spring pressure you can snap them right off. But you can sell your 1.7rr for about $100 and then get some others so your really only out $130 or so.

is there a limit for spring pressure on the pedastal setups? this would inquire a smaller cam i suppose, but i would thing most cams around a TFS 1, steeda 19, 2031 would be okay anyways

You are more limited in cam choice with the 1.7 ratio but yes, you are correct in what your saying.

I shoulda been a bit more clear with my info I reckon.

Scorpion, Probe, TFS, Crane, Comp are all good. The Crane Cobra 1.7's are noisey from what I've heard. So are shaft mount rockers.

Paul (Killercanary)gave some very good info about his experiences with ped rockers about 4 or 5 days ago.

My opinion is that you should sell the 1.7 peds and go with AFR's setup for stud mount.
