I'm in need of a good timing light. I don't want to spend more then 50-70 bucks. Whats a good light to get? I have seen some that you can advance the timing using the gun? Are these good to have, or do they not work with our cars?

I got just a basic one from Sears. I don't know any thing about the ones that change your timming.

I have a Snap-On one that I will never admit to what I paid and it works no better then any other light out there. It does have an advanced/retard dial on the gun itself, but I am sure some cheaper models do and would work just as well.

Ive got an old Sears one my neighbor gave me a long time ago. Its fine.

For cheap one Id just get one from Harbor Freight. Its not something that matters how much you pay for it because they all work the same.

That's what I figured. I was just curious as to if the "advance timing" models were that much better or if a basic light was all anyone really needed. I'll just get a basic light and be done with it. I have about 300 bucks in gif cards to spend at Sears.
