Took my car to the track when I bought it...it was bone stock down to air silencer and all. All I did was a tune-up with plugs/wires etc...beforehand.

Best pass the whole night as a 15.308 @ 90.12 w/ 2.2 60'. "Maybe" if I had drag radials and it was cooler weather, I could of mustered a very high 14, but there was not much more left in it. After Off-road H-pipe, Flowmasters, and 3.73's, I dropped to a 14.7 @ 93.5.

i dunno man i didnt really believe it either, but trust me, the guy that owned the car before me did nothing to it except put a k&n on it. he knows nothing about cars, racing, etc. he was also the original ownerbut yeah.....i've known him for about 5 years, he's 100% car-stupid, no way he did anything to it.

HOw much RWHP will a Edelbrock or Trickflow Manifold net on a 94-95GT? Im just wondering, becuase it might just be worth it to get like a 96GT, since its lighter. The downside is that the 4.6 parts are more expensive and less abundant.

well, I'd like to see some slips if you still have them 5liter... curious about 60', 1/8 mile... mph.. everything... it could be a freak, but even then, I HIGHLY doubt a 14.7 would be possible... I guess it is possible he had it chipped from the factory... or even more possible (just thought of this) you had "stock" 3.73 gears so, whatever... nice times man...

I bought my car about 4 weeks ago and it had the air silencer removed and a K&N, everything else was stock. I weighed it and without me in it, it weighed 3420lbs with just under 1/4 tank of gas. I later checked the timing and it was at 8* btdc. The car had an AODE in it and ran a 10.012@ 73.29 mph while I let it shift itself which was almost always at 5100 rpm.

I don't know what that would equate to in the quarter. Maybe someone else would have some pretty close estimates. Hope this helps.

my best run that night:

RT: .768
60: 2.211
330: 6.115
1/8: 9.368
MPH: 75.55
1000: 12.170
1/4: 14.550
MPH: 94.75

this was at capitol raceway in crofton, maryland back in march. track conditions were good, track was prepped that night. weather was clear and temp was 45*. car was 100% stock save for K&N filter. Stock rims with 225/55/R16 Yokohama AVID V4's. I weighed the car with 1/4 tank of gas before i went to the track and it weighed in at 3300# even (without me). BTW I weigh 160.

Could you get a chip and 3.73's from the factory? I know he didn't do anything to the car after he bought it but anything's possible from the factory. He bought the car brand new in California in 95. Other than that I dont know. Not to brag but I think I'm a pretty good driver and my friends that have rode with me agree, whenever people are talking about how good they are at stick my name always comes up. Like I said I'm not trying to brag, just trying to figure out why my times were so fast. I launched the car off idle, kept it on the verge of spinning through 1st, then it was balls out through 2nd and 3rd. I finished the 1/4 in 3rd gear around 5500 rpm (close to there, i dont remember the exact rpm).

Well those are the facts, what do you think?

I always finish the 1/4 in 4th gear with my 3.73's. When I had the stock 2.73's I would finish in the 3rd, so that's probably what you have. Still great times man.

well 5 liter... unless you are really good at faking the slips (or that wasn't you ) those seem dead on... almost to the thousandth on speed an time for my 14.5 runs... it is possible to get much lower gearing from the factory, but I don't think a chip... it could have been stolen, then resold from the factory... keep that in mind... (that's what happened to mine, only mine was "totalled" so the dealer got the money, and my car went to an auction...)

-anyway, good times, although your MPH is low for the ET... get your car dynod... that will prove those numbers once and for all so, I'm now curious about your torque (actual dyno numbers though, not the online calculator stuff...)
