I was wandering whats best tranny fluid for TKO500
I heard that all TKO or Tremec transmissions have to run GM Synchromesh fluid ???

Run the synchromesh, just make sure its the correct type as I believe there are two different ones.

I have the TKO 600 waiting to be installed and I called Tremec and they told me that I could run the Mobil 1 tranny fluid.

I run synchromesh in mine. I don't see why you couldn't run a comparable fluid though. But if you have to buy it why not just get the synchromesh?

I got mine from a Chebby dealer too. Just be sure to wear a Ford Racing hat and shirt when you go to get it (oh and take the Mustang too!!!

Yeah i just used GM Syncromesh. SEems to work good for the last 12,000 miles. I gotta go pick up some more though

good thinkin. i need to change the fluid in my TKO too.. theres two different types? maybe ill scope out walmart for the mobile 1 fluid

Royal purple calls it Synchromax.
I use it in my mustang as well as my rubicon.
