Whats it worth?? 98 gt

I used to have a foxbody years ago and have decided that i need another mustang. This is a buddies car that I have known for years. Car is super clean always garaged. Stock Gt wheels, looks stock other than sits lower than stock. I think he is asking a very fair price for it but would like someones opinion that has still been in the mustang scene for the last few years.


1998 GT
70k on body
14 K on motor
14 K on trans
3 K on clutch

Motor: (Built by local reputable engine shop)
Canton 7qt oil pan
98 block
Cobra crank
Manley rods (same as O3/04 cobra motors)
JE 17cc dish pistons
Fel-Pro cometic head gaskets
All ARP lower studs and bolts
ARP head studs
PI heads
PI manifold
Stock cams, valves, and springs
Heads were cleaned up by the engine builder
BBK throttle body, can't remember the size
Steeda manual Timing adjuster

Trans
Spec clutch stage 3 (26 spline disk to fit TKO)
TKO 600, street version .64 fifth gear ( 80mph this car tacks at 2100 rpms, it needs a rear gear bad)
Tremec Bell housing
stock drive shaft

95 gas tank (had to change bc of the variable voltage fuel pump and set up that comes stock only on the 98 GTs)

I might go as high as $9,000....but it would have to be in really nice shape. And that's Canadian Dollars BTW.

More like all that and just bolt ons? I think it's good for 7-8k. That engine sounds tasty.

There were a few things left off the list too like the adjustable coil overs, caster/camber plates, the cai, came with a lightning mass air and 42lb injectors, a sct flip chip that will need retuned, an extra t-45, and lots of extra odds and ends and interior parts, digital a/f reader, steeda triax shifter....blah blah blah. This car was the test car for ProTurbo kits and the 96-98 gt kit. But the owner pulled the turbo off and sold the kit about a year ago. It is now sitting in my garage . Ill work on getting some pics taken today.

Thats what I mean. The "built" engine and they used shorties, waste IMO.

They will do the trick for the time being. Car sounds great, makes pretty decent power. Ill worry about the headers more if a power adder comes into play sooner than later.
