I'm wondering were I'm loosing the most power in my setup. I have a GT-40 crate motor with the B303. I have a TFS track heat intake,80mm MAF,24lb injectors, kirban fuel pressure reg. Just installed the intake and I'm not feeling nearly the power gain I expected. I know my stock fuel pump and tb are hurting me but anyone have an idea of how much.

I am sure the stock throttle body is not helping for sure. Especially with the 80mm MAF and the bottle neck to the TB. I would change that and get it dynoed as well. Check and adjust timing maybe? Fuel pressure settings?

Fuel pressure is at about 39 and timing I need to recheck, but was at 14*.

What kind of 80mm MAF? If C&L borrow a Pro-M 75mm and see what happens.

Was the intake the only thing installed at this time?

I'm thinking two things about your combo, maybe,
MAF too big, TB too small, together I would think that could cause an issue.

Should feel pretty solid upper midrange power...is the car AOD? FP and timing look good..that combo should lay down in the 260range. I would pull the codes to see if anything is out of commision.

i guarrenty its your stock fuel pump. youve maxed it out. i had heads and intake on my car with 24# injectors running the stock cam and fuel pump when i got my wide band kit. made a pass down the track and got an afr of 26:1 i added more fuel pressure and afr got a little better. i went so fast as to be running 60psi fuel pressure at idle with vacuum off and it was still about 18:1. thats when i realized that at idle the stock fuel pump could make plenty of pressure but at wot it couldnt keep up and fuel pressure dropped. if you have h/c/i your fuel pump is even worse off then mine was. put in a 255lph pump in the tank and lowered my fuel pressure back to normal and afr was great and it made a ton more power.
get a new fuel pump!!!

ok man sounds good i've already got a pump and tb coming figured what the hell might as well have them. wanting to add a supercharger in the near future anyway. i did find that the timing was off 8* so i set it at 14*. did seem to help my low end. any other suggestions? I also need to get an electric fan cars starting to warm up with upgrades, whats a good fair price fan ?
