off top of my head i have zip ties holding my ignition in, when my trunk broke i tied it together with fishing line (had it like that for 5 weeks), and when my brother had a t/a the ttops leaked so i chaulked them lol :D

At a Fun Ford Weekend car show, there was a MINT fox body. The guy cut the bottom of a quart of oil container and zip tied around his proportioning valve and if was half full with brake fluid. Good for a quick fix, but take it off for a car show!!!!

This 01 Chevy pickup came into work and the fuel lines were connectend together with rubber hose and cheap clamps. DANGEROUS!!!

Right now I have a coat hanger pulling my tailpipe to keep it form rubbing the tire, and a temporary water temp gauge on the cowl panel.

Some kid backed into my '95 Merc SVT Tracer R wagon and cracked the plastic bumper in half. So I mended it from the back side with some metal braces, cant tell the difference.:nice:

I know one that I did now!!! I was standed on the freeway. I used electrical tape and wrapped it around a blown radiatro hose, and bought a case of bottled water from the store. It was 3:00a.m. on the way home from the bar. It lasted about 15 miles and got me home!!!!!!!! the next day it got a new hose and antirfreeze.

I had a crappy '87 Honda CRX Si at one time. I couldn't find corner lenses ANYWHERE for the thing to replace the broken/missing ones on there, and the yellow tape just wasn't cuttin' the mustard (kept falling off every time it rained or I drove it on the highway), so I bought some for an '88-'91, took a 4" grinder, and cut into the fender to make them fit in there, and then created my own mounting brackets behind there with metal strapping. Just about EVERYTHING on that car was ghetto-rigged. :nice:

In lieu of spending $1,000 to have a new top put on my 'vert, I repaired the tears in it with globs of white RTV silicone, and several strips of duct tape on the underside. What the heck ... it keeps the rain off my head. :D

Also, rather than spending $300 or so for a whole new front bumper fascia, I've slowly been building up the 3" hole in the front-right corner with JB Weld and KwikSteel putty. Eventually, I should have it molded and shaped right, and then painted to match, but it's been too cold and wet outside to do any ghetto body work on it, lately... :(

I tried to hold down the front seat with a radiator clamp. The bolt was stripped, it ripped through in a few weeks anyway and I had a rocking chair. 1970 Ford Fairlane.
It sucked on quick starts, good thing I have long legs.

I smashed into an 18 wheeler with my 71 Duster and it took out a head lite COMPLETELY. So I used zip ties to hold a spot lite in place and ran wires directly to the battery. When it was dark I would connect the wires to the battery.
(I was 16-17)

I bought a lx notch 4 cyc that had hit a bridge embunkment and rolled. I gave 50.00 for it and it ran.

I drove it to the front of my neighbor hood and hooked a chain to the guard rail.
I hooked the other end to the lower radiator support, then I backed up real fast to pull it out. Next I hooked it up to the upper core support and backed it up again.

Next I replaced the radiator and coat hangered it in.

Then I noted that the there was a quite large gap between the door and the roof line. SOOO I took a BFH and I beat the roof down to the door so it would seal.

I put tranny stop slip in the trans as it was an aod and I drive it all winter. I sold it for 125.oo the next spring.

Is that ghetto riged enough?

I just remebered. When I was pulling the front end out with the gaurdrail and chain a cop pulled up to the 3 way stop sign.

I looked up at him he looked at me shook his head and drove off. ROFL!!!

That car was fun when people saw it coming they moved LOL>

I only bought it so I didnt have to drive the droptop that winter.

I remembered a dirty one, I wasn’t me but some ricer with a MX3 (chrome hubcaps, dragon stickers, fart can, yin yang on the back). He said his car had a cracked block and it was leaking oil, so he said he covered the crack with roofing tar and sold it or traded it to a dealer. (Pretty sure it was one of the many shady used car lots around my area.:( ) A little while later I was driving in my town and the same MX3 was in somebody’s driveway and the kid and his dad was standing there admiring it with new license tags. I almost circled back around to tell them the good news, but I didn’t.:D

my heater core lines are still looped...

my old msd 6 was zip tied to my fender/coil

i kept getting **** in my old SVO hood so i put gutter seal in the vent, actually kinda looked good

my battery in my f150 is still ziptied onto the tray
