Reason i want to know is that i need a new 302 for my stang and was thinking about getting a engine out of a explorer-moutanieer, and i saw a longblock 4 sale?
The shortblock 302 will bolt right up to my tranny and motor mounts correctly?? and all my other accesorieys too??

A long block has the heads and cam, the short block doesn't (usually).

short block=engine block/crank/pistons (not sure on this one but sometimes i've seen'em with cam and timing chain + gears?
long block=block,crank, pistons, heads
crate engine=whole motor minus accessories.
