I can get a 1998 Lincoln mark VIII 4.6 DOHC 4V very cheap and i just wanted to know whats the exact difference between that engine and the 98 Cobra 4.6 DOCH 4V ?

Is it just the intake? Does it have the forged crank just like the cobra? what about the heads? are they the same as the cobra?

Thanks for the help...

I believe the only differences are the intake, cam profiles, and exhaust. As far as I know everything else is the same. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

intakes are obviously different. heads are the same. block is the same, rods and pistons are the same hyperuetectic (sp) crap. crank is cast instead of the cobra's forged unit. intake cam profile is diffent than the cobra's. otherwise, it's pretty much a cobra engine. you could litterally get the engine and throw an 98 cobra intake and cams in there and be off and running. just be careful with the boost since you'll have a cast crank instead of a forged 1.
