There is a little hose going from the air intake box to the exhaust manifold. What's the impotance of this? My 2.3 didn't have one when I bought it and I was curious as to whether I should replace it or not.

all it does is on cold days it sends warm air into the intake from the header. not really needed. I usually just get rid of em as they get to be a pain when trying to tune the vehicle. it helps the motor warm up quicker and idle a little better.

just make sure the flap is closed if you do remove it.

Well, I live in South Florida....Cold days....ha! Anyway, when air is cold aren't the molecules closer together....meaning more air gets into the engine....meaning more power? I understand that its to warm up the engine when it's cold though, just saying. Thanks.

sure you would....as long as you come up with some other amazing use for them....like paint stirring sticks....that might work.

I got some winter air for your tires and whatever else. Adds gas mileage and increases seat of panse performance.

I just capped the vac motor for the flapper

Is that sufficient?

After it's warmmed up, it actually idles better than with it operational
