What's the real purpose for this that mounts on the firewall. Is it a brass anode or something else?

Ha, canuter valve is the gayest sounding made up part ever, it has nothing on the scrutinator valve that osculates backwards, just so you know.

my chilton's says that's the bracket for the blinker fluid reservoir, it's a small plastic, dealer-only part at Ford for $978.99 if your car is missing it

Would that be the regular blinker fluid or the halogen? You better double check and run the 5W30 or else your headlight solenoid will burn out from viscosity breakdown.

looks like someone removed your hyperfootinating valve and forgot to take off the bracket

that's a good point, worst case scenario you can always drop out the A/C compressor and pull the blinker bearings to check for any abnormal wear, these are a wear item on 88 1/2 BOSS mustangs with the crown vic police interceptor 4.6s

Hey I got one of those!

I started at it for like 20 minutes once trying to figure out what the hell it was there for. Seemed pretty out of place since nothing is attached to it.

Seee....there it is! Back left corner. I finally came to the conclusion that it adds horsepower. I've order a couple of stickers to boost its output.

Wouldn't the hood already be grounded from being bolted on to the car? I used to think it was the hood ground but I don't even know if mine would touch the hood or not. That's the only thing I could actually figure out it would be there for but just couldn't understand the reason behind it being there.

Sorry for the hijack, but what's this part called? It's like a reinforcement bar that goes from the lower part of the radiator support to the upper part (hood latch). Is it truly necessary or can I just toss it?
