I have little green speckles on the motherboard. I know it already has a clear protective coating over the whole thing, but I have never seen these little green speckles in other pics of EEC-IV internals. They are normal, aren't they?
1.) The blue thing in the middle is an electrolytic capactior, which has a small amout of fluid it it. Sometimes they will fail and spew the fluid all over the place. The clue is that they usually swell up and bulge when this happens. It is usually very evident when this happens since the capactior looks like it swallowed a dounut and it stuck in the middle.
2.) The board may have gotten a second coat of sealer after repair or assembly. The specks are evidence that someone wasn't real neat about it. In any case I won't worry about it if the engine is running OK.
