ok, I know the auto doesn't help much but with my list of mods below, don't you think that my car should run better than mid 15's? I just got back from bristol dragway and I was so disapointed in the way it turned out. I was hoping for mid to high 14's. Am I expecting too much?

Your expecting to much from an auto with stcok gears. They only mod helping you is your intake that's it all the other mods (induction/fuel) are pretty much pointless on a faily stock car. Gears, gears, gears. Did I mention gears.....oh and exhaust open it up.

Do you have your numbers from the run? I bet your 60' is fairly high with those stock gears, and like wytstang said, that will probably be the most bang for your buck with your car right now. I unfortunately think that I am in the same boat as you though, I have only ran a 1/8 mile track but using a calculator to convert that to 1/4 mile times using trap speed and et., I am looking at a slow 15.2 or so. Thats with the mods in my signature, which I am hoping dramatically change when I get my gears in. I honestly think they could drop me up to .3 by reducing my 60' and getting that heavy convertible of mine going. By the way, is yours a Vert?

thanks for the input. my goal now this summer is to get gears, long tubes, and an h-pipe. I'll try to find my slips and post up some times.

Another vote for gears. I went with 3.73 in my auto. Best bang for the buck, If you can get a cheap install.

Your car will feel so much better once you get some gears and open up the exhaust. You have opened up the intake side of the motor when you open up the exhaust side it will help alot.
