So Cal
Im looking for competition, long tube, minimum 1 5/8'' tubes,at least a 3'' collector, and a 3/8'' flange. Also mild steel with a coating. It looks like both Hedman and Hooker make them, Any body else ? How about your experiences with fit ?
The car is a 65,manual steer, and a toploader .
Thanks in advance

I would recommend "Ford Powertrain Applications" or FPA's as their known.

Best fit ever, and tuck up under the car perfect.
Incredible fit & finish.
Expensive, but the best is worth it.

that site is horrible, they need to work on something new

when i got my headers there were different part #s for 65-66 and 67-70 and they have them all together... sounds like a generic header to me

My thorleys fit awesome not a single problem with them at all. they are pricey but i have used their product on many cars and always is top notch

I have ran Hooker headers all my life, and still own a few. The Fordpowertrain headers are the best in my opinion. We have a set in our '65 coup with a Cleveland motor and a set for our '66 flared coup with a 'real' Boss 302 motor. The fit and finish is second to none. I wish they made a set for a early Falcon with a small block.
