Hi all -
I have a great opportunity to get a new Predator at the above price shipped for a short time. I've heard good things about it, but was wondering what your experiences were with it. Thanks. :)

Hey Blazing Saddles, do you have an 05? I followed your link and the Predator descriprtion shows the following:

Ford Mustang V8:
1999-2004 GT 4.6L 2valve
2001 Bullit 4.6L 2valve
2003-2004 Mach 1 4.6L 4valve
1999-2001 Cobra 4.6L 4valve

Ford Mustang V6:
1999-2003 3.8L

Am I looking at the wrong one. For your sake, I hope you didn't buy the chip for the wrong car

For those that all ready have the Predator. Is it pretty easy to use ? where does the predator plug into to send the car new info. I will be getting mine in the next couple of weeks with the C&L CIA and I am curious about the way the predator works. The reason I like the C&L package is because the C&L came with the diablo with the settings for C&L. I did order the Steeda CIA but it was sent back when I found out about the C&L.

Plugs in right beside the hood latch release, left and below the steering wheel.

Very simple to use - plug it in and choose your tune.

I may be selling mine (please mods, don't hit me!) as I'm thinking of getting a s/c, which will require more than a canned Diablo tune. If I sell, it'll be <$300.

I don't think their web site has been updated. I called and ordered the Predator for the 05 for $309.00

Does the Predator come with an 87 octane tune? I know that sounds crazy but with gas prices like they are it would be nice to still run 87 and then maybe later tune it for the higher octane.

If it does not come with the 87 Octane tune, do you just go in and adjust timing?

Thanks!

I have used the predator, never owned one. If it was me, I would buy the SCT Excalibrator 2.

I agree, mainly because SCT has already done custom tuning on the 05, one in particular was Procharged. Flatline 11.5:1 and about 50 RWHP over the stock Procharger code. Some parameters in the Predator were changed that did not need to be touched (Affected drivability), and others were not changed but needed to be for reliability.

Just my .02.

Hes right very easy to use. The tune for my Procharger sucks. If you want that charger, order now. Youll see it in about two months. Oh, and Ill let mine go for $250$!!
