hey guys-

Wanted to ask a quick question. I have a 97 cobra and found some cobra R motorsport wheels that i have been looking for for some time now, the problem is, they are 16X8's instead of 17x9's which i was originally looking for. I have 2-17x10.5's for the rear already. My question is...if I buy the 2 16x8's will it hurt performance and look drastically different from a 17 inch wheel? will they fit? Again these wheels were extremely hard to find because they have the machining going around the edge of the rim? should i go ahead and get these? I don't want to be stuck with 2 17x10.5's!!! opinions?

Thanks, Matt

I almost bought some of those, I couldn't decide between 17's or 18's. Then I was getting ready to order their speedstar wheels, and there gone. Good luck though. I assume you checked ebay, I saw those 16x8's. I don't think I would put a 16 on the front and a 17 on the back. But that is me. You could go to tire rack and mess around with their wheel program, that might help a little? as far as the size differences. Chris

thanks chris, yeah i have been looking everywhere for these puppies and am not sure if I will find any more to be quite honest, that's why when I saw these for sale on ebay I thought....hmmm...i wonder if they would fit and i wonder if they would look too small. I also have 13" powerslot rotors up front, i emailed powerslot today to ask them if the wheels would fit with their rotors. I'll probably hear from them tomorrow. I'll keep looking, but I just might but those darn things..lol. later
