wheel fitment problems....

hey guys,

I ordered a set of custom wheels (not going to mention name yet)

Anyway I wanted 17X8s in front, and 17.9.5s rear.
I am usuing 245/45/17s and 315/35/17s rear (they run smaller)

I got the wheels and the fronts stuck out of the fender 2 inches, and
the backs about an inch further than I wanted?????????
I was pissed, considering they were $1200 & took a month to get.

Apparently they had 5 3/4 backspacing???????

The fronts actually measure 9inched lip to lip, and the backs 10.

I sent them back, and the company is re-doing, but I am now
petrified they are going to be incorrect again.

I want the fronts tucked in the fender slightly.......more than stock, and
the backs (I fell) would look good even, similiar to stock.

Any advise.

How about telling us what company it is so we can steer clear or at least check it out first to make sure we don't have the same problem?

the company is fixing, I would rather not say what company it is
until after I have my new perfect wheels on the car....if you see what
I am saying.

I don't want to piss them off.......
