I'm trying to find wheels that would fit a 93 cobra.
I swapped a TC rear end and the rear wheels are too wide for my liking right now...
They will work temporarily, but I want something with more backspacing. I'm up for any suggestions on wheel options!!

I found a few pictures of 93 cobras with some different wheels..
hopefully that means this is a possibility.

These were the original specs.
1993 Cobra Wheel Specs:
RH: F3ZZ-1007-A
LH: F3ZZ-1007-B
Offset = 1.61" or 40.9mm
Backspace = 5.36"
Bolt Pattern = 4 X 4.25"

Thanks!

One of the guys in our Club changed his front rotors and rear axles inorder to take advantange of the regular offsite for the 87-93 and went with some of the 93 Cobra replicas to put up and save the stock stuff.

Not quite what I was looking for. I have basically a 93 Cobra rear axle assembly with disc brakes... which from the factory were .75" longer on each side... which is why the 93 Cobra came with a 7.5" wide wheel with a special offset of almost 41mm... I was planning on finding a set of wheels with enough offset to fit properly... but i'm thinking i'll just go 5-lug and the wheel choice will be no problem.

Bro you just can't go wrong with BBS or some nice and light wheel. Plus it's a cobra don't put some ugly ass wheels on that sweet car or some over rated wheels go with something unique.

Why would anyone replace the stock 93 Cobra wheels, with some after market "cobra" wheels as displayed in your pictures? I'm all about a different set up, but please don't disrespect your Cobra with after market knock-offs of a real Cobra wheel.

I'm with you on that... I think the 93 Cobra is one of the best looking wheels out there.

That’s a good idea. I might have to look into doing that. One of the main reasons I don’t drive mine more. I’ve had to have one of the rims fixed from a pothole incident some years ago. I know if I really damaged the OEM rim I’m screwed. There impossible to find

The OEMs 93s are almost impossible to replace if damaged. I’m thinking of changing the rotors and axles to run the replicas myself for just that reason

I’m just browsing through the threads…….. noticed your replying to a thread that’s been dead since 2009. Start up a new thread if you’ve got questions to ask….. plenty of good guys around here willing to help.
Just didn’t want you to get a bad first impression cause nobody was replying to this old thread …… it really is a cool place to hang out and get some good info. Sometimes you may get a laugh or two as well!

I'm not sure I understand this. They make replicas in 4 and 5-lug:

https://lmr.com/products/93-Cobra-Mustang-Wheels

Scroll down to the 5-lug section. They appear to have them in silver and silver. So, I hope you like silver

They will not fit a real cobra. The offset is wrong. I would have to change front rotors and rear axles to reg LX or GT ones.

I've seen a lot of SN95s with these. How different is the S197 offset from yours?

Offset for 93cobra is 40.9mm. Due to different front breaks and longer rear axles. It’s also 4 lugs. Not sure of the offcst non fox cars

Just swap to standard 5.0 front rotors, and purchase these brackets along with a set of non-cobra 4-lug axles. You might need to modify the anti-moan brackets a bit however. But that will pull the front and rear in that 0.75" you need and then you can run the replica wheels. Squirrel away your stock parts as it's not a terrible job swapping the brackets and such back.

Yeah I know I cando all that. And might have to. But then it’s not a cobra anymore basically truened a true cobra into a clone. Lol I just wish someone would make the correct rim for us. I know quite a few guys that would buy them right up. So we don’t have to change anything. I still have the stock radio,floor mats, dust boot on distributor.Original paint.

Maybe something there will work?
If not, with a 3 week wait time, i'd guess they are making them to order.
So it's possible they could have them made the way you need them.

One set is labeled as 93 cobra.

I’ve look there too. It also requires changing rotors and stuff. I never thought about calling them to see if they can be made with the 40.9mm offset. It’s a good idea thanks
