It will work, but I prefer to take the hub off and use a hydraulic press because I don't like impact loading the bearings.FORCED2DV8 said:I have done without removing the hub, pound the old one out, you may have to rotate the hub to acheive maximum clearance, then slide the new one in and i use a open end lug nut, aka acorn nut with some washers and tighten it all the way down to sinch the new stud into place, you have to giude it in as you do it. loosen the nut and your all set.
