Y'all ought to try off roadin' in an 18 wheeler Been places so bad, it took 2 skidders and a Cat D4 dozer to get the 100,000+ lb truck out of the woods. One big skidder in front tuggin', the other skidder and the dozer in the back pushin' on each corner, and all 4 engines screamin' for all they're worth.
My Dad and Uncles were into logging in the '70's and what may seem like a good place to drag the logs to load them on the truck with the crane might not be so good after a bunch of rain. Sometimes they would have a separate trucker haul the logs.
As a teenager Iv'e seen a lot of things get stuck and unstuck, but nothing compared to the stuff when I was in in the Army in Germany seeing a Patriot Launcher stuck in a sopping wet farmers field.
It took the HMMET wrecker with the front winch hooked to two more HMMET trucks as an anchor and the rear winch pulling the burried HMMET tractor with launcher out. That was a recovery operation!
Now how in the world did you get in that predicament?Surely it was unintentional,.........uh,.......... wasn't it? Just 'cause you can do it in a Mustang doesn't mean you can do it an 18 wheeler.
