When to change to Synthetic..? And using sea Foam..??

Ive had my stang now for a little over 6 months, the last oil change I had was done at the dealer when I had them fix the airbag thing. Do the new stangs come with synthetic or do you have switch over to it, If so when is the best time to. I Had RP in my last stang with no problems just want to start using in my new baby, just not sure if they already come with synthetic or not.. Thanks guys/ gals !

I'm not sure what they come with. I took my free oil change from the dealer at 1000 miles, then changed over to synthetic about 6 months later. I will only run synthetic. I'm running Mobil 1 and will be changing it once a year, when I pull it out in the spring.

I'm wondering about seafoaming the mustang since the intake manifold is teflon coated. Should it be done straight through the PCV to avoid possibly damaging it?

I hear solvents don't react well with the teflon in the manifolds.

I think the factory fill is synthetic blend.

A couple of things to watch out for if you switch to a full synthetic and exceed 5000 miles or six months between changes--

1) You may void the factory warranty if you have an oil-related problem.
2) Make sure that the oil filter is rated for the mileage you go between changes. It doesn't make much sense to go 10,000 miles between changes if the oil is rated for that but the oil filter is not.

I change synthetic oil every 5K miles or once a year and wait on the Sea Foam until 10K and then about every 8-10K miles after. I let the motor injest the sea foam through the brake booster hose with no problems.
