for best acceleration on a stock '93 n/a 2.3? It seems to pull equally from 3k to redline and i havnt been able to find any power curves for these cars. im stumped

when the engine hits the computer rev limiter. That works great, and when you get good, you can get it so that just as it hits you shift

~4,500 is definitely better I feel. It stops pulling once you get between 5,000 and 5,500+, at least in my car.

I agree on the 4500, along with 3000. The optimal powerband, in my opinion is between 3000 - 4500. Then again, does a stock N/A 2.3 really have enough power to consider it a powerband??? Just some food for thought.

Somebody ran theirs at the track and actually proved that the optimal shift point was around 4500 or so for the best (crappy) times...I don't remember who it was though.

I lost two-three tenths shifting my 87 when it was n/a at anything over about 4500.

When you shift your RPM should drop to ~3k or where the engine makes peak torque.
