I need to take the stereo out of my dash. Got that 4 prong thing holding it in. Where can I buy the tool to remove it? Or, maybe there is way without actually buying one.
nope, you gotta have the special tool. you can get them at best buy, circuit city, custom sounds, or any other car audio/video shop. the guy at circuit city just took mine out for free.
You can use a coat hanger and cut a 8 inch piece and bend it into a u shape. make two of them. i havent done this on my stang yet but ive done it on my 97 escort. should be the same
I didn't use a coat hanger, I used four allen wrenches. Any thing that will hold the prongs out of the way will work. I suggest a little tinkering to find what works for you rather than spend a lot of money on a tool that you'll only use once. Besides, that's just all that much more you can put into your pony!

Alot of money? ok sure/ But yeah just get a metal coat hanger and bend it to fit in the side holes..you'll have to wiggle it around and when it catches just pull it out
