headlight covers might now be legal where you are. Virginia they aren't had a buddy get a ticket for his. But most people don't notice the smoked headlight style and some are DOT legal if you find the right ones.

If you take them off at night you should be ok ! :nice:

headlight covers are kinda ugly, and out of style anyway.

My 00 headlights started looking all dingy from the sun so I used 80 grit sandpaper, and sanded them out then went to 120 grit, then 220, 500, and 1,200 made them look bran new again. With a vibrating sander is very easy to do if you remove the headlight fixture. Only takes two pins to pull each out, and unplug the harness. Very easy, but yeah the smoked ones look better anyway. I just keep passing up getting some b/c I keep spending my extra $ on performance stuff. Must go faster !

BTW- when sanding you can easily tell where, and how much to sand each area. It's easy enough to go back and sand more and redo small areas until it's perfect. I'm not sure if that's what you're haivng anyway. Condensation is another problem. You could do them both in less than 2 hours I'm sure w/ all the right paper, and sander there. I want some crystal clear fog lights too :)
