where can i get a car cover for an 04 stang? i went to ford today to price one out and they want 275 for a cover (ouch) know of any places that sell them cheaper but good quality?

Unless you're looking for something completely form fitting... then yes.... CTC carries a few different brands that are reasonably priced and of decent quality.

NOTE: Be careful not to leave your cover on if rained on.. the moisture.. 'if' it happens to get warm while the cover is left on will fish-eye your clearcoat... The fall is especially bad for this as the dew, light frost in the morning mixed with the odd hot fall afternoon can mess up your clear coat bad!

100% breathable car covers of good quality are very pricey and I still wouldn't trust them.

save up for a shelter or garage Bro!

well it will be stored in a heated garage all winter but i want a cover to keep the dust from the garage and any crap particals off the car so i'm not worried about it being rained on or anything like that, the cover is for indoor use basically when the car is stored for the winter.....

If you were storing your mustang in a heated garage for 5 or 6 months would you get a ford custom fit car cover or a normal one from canadian tire? I'm just worried one from canadian tire would scratch my paint somehow not being a custom fit one.

You'll be fine with a quality car cover from CTC if you're storing indoors. If you're that worried about your paint being scratched put a 100% cotton flannel sheet on the car before the cover... with the heat on in the garage, you won't have to worry about moisture

Canadian Tire!
I first bought the light duty cover and stored the car inside, the dust went straight through it. I later saw that CTC had the best quality on sale for $119, bought this one and have been using it for 4 years now, it works great. Not form fitting but it does the intended job. This year I was thinking about buying a solar charger to keep the battery topped up, instead of taking the battery out of the car. I was hoping that the florescent light would work in place of the sun, kind of like the solar cell in your calculator. The car will head to storage in about 6 more weeks!

I now park my car in an "indoor" parking lot.

"Indoor" consists of a concrete structure. Just basic protection from the elements. Inside, its very dusty. After a week during the summer the car gets tons of dust buildup.

I was thinking about getting some kind of cover to use while it is inside, to keep all this dust off. However, as this is an apartment complex, I don't want someone coming by to five-finger-discount my car cover. Are there any that can be locked onto the car somehow? Like with loops to put cables through then padlock together.

My CTC cover has gromets on either side in about 3 spots. I usually just use a piece of rope on one side and secure with bungie cords on the other to secure the cover to the car. I guess you could use a cable and lock. The only problem is that locks are for honest people. If someone wants the cover they will just cut the material around the locks. I store my car inside an apartment parking lot and have for several years and have never had a problem yet.

Im gonna be in the market for a cover soon too. Mine sits inside a garage, it wasnt heated but should be this year, and yeah the dust likes it! ALOT!

The cable and lock sounds like a pretty good idea.

Actually, one of the bigger worries I would have is kids sneaking in and stealing it, to goof off with it. They take stuff out of dumpsters and go play with it. They're always trying to sneak inside the garage .

I just put the stang away this weekend. I picked up my cover at Crappy Tire a few years ago just make sure it is breathable. Otherwise it will lock in moisture, less of an issue in a heated garage.

I would pay the few extra bucks and get one that will last a longer time and not scratch the paint. Around 75-100 bucks should be ok.

One looks like a nice cussioned blanket , and the other one was my daily cover , I may sell them soon cause I'm parting out my car right now , I'll try to take a picture in the next days to let you guys see them .

I bought one from CT tonight. Was on sale for $43. Says its breathable and stuff. More for indoor use, but can be used for out door somewhat. Its all i need as the car sleeps inside the garage.

Only thing is im not sure if i got a large enough one. The one i bought is for a med car, 14-16 feet. Anyone measure a fox before?
