Ok, I took off my upper intake today and im finding that everything looks badly rigged up. one hose goes from the back of the intake and has a pcv valve on the other end just sitting there. I have another pcv in my valve cover that the other end of the hose is connected to the top of the intake near the TB. Where is the correct place for the valve and hoses to go?

Another question when you flip over the intake there is to sets of hoses and connections, the bigger size hose one is all connected but the smaller ones have bout an inch of hose and then it is capped off on both sides. Why is it like that and is it suppose to be??

It's right below the "salt and pepper" shakers. You have to take the plaque off that is on the upper intake. To take the salt and pepper shakers off. So the PCV valve is on the back off the engine near the fire wall. It took me a little while trying to find it with my hand.
Not sure about the other question about the hoses.

WOW! im confused, First of all "salt and pepper shakers" im lost???Some Idiot that had the car before me has the wrong valve covers on so i know its suppose to go drivers side all the way back but where does the other end of the hose hook up too???

I don't know what your talking about with your PCV valve.. all it does is "just sit there."

That second hose is correct.. your supposed to have a venting hose going from your valve cover to your TB, it vents crankcase gasses and puts them back into the combustion chamber.

Not sure on the intake thing, but i think a couple of those vacuum lines go to your smog system. Maybe your car has no SMOG system therefor has capped of vac lines that previously led to the SMOG system.

I guess it all goes back to having the wrong valve covers. cuz on regular valve covers the Pcv is in the back, so i guess the person had the pcv tube connected to something in the back of the intake and still had the old pcv valve on the hose, cuz the hose was only like 6 inches long.

I dunno guys its all messed up, im just pulling stuff apart cuz i am going to be getting a longblock to put in and have been doing searches on here so ive been finding a bunch of other stuff out. I guess i dont have to really worry about it untill i start the reassemblely.

ok i've got the wrong valve covers on mine too, but it's ok though. just run the pcv valve line in the valve cover to the tb. the other one that connects to the upper intake should sit in the lower intake on the back left side when looking at the engine from the front of the car. the pcv vacuum line on the upper intake should be hooked up on the t in the upper intake on the right side. there are also 3 more vacuum lines on the upper intake (they are all next to each other 2 small and 1 big one) the small ones go to the fpr and the vacuum connector on the left side of the engine bay ( the connector has about 4 lines running out of it) the big line runs to your break booster. hope that helps.

Salt and pepper shakers are the two connectors at the rear of the intake adjacent to the EGR valve. They are black and white. I had to take the 5.0 plaque off the intake to get the "salt and pepper shakers" off. Sorry to confuse you Im not sure what they are called.
