This part broke off when I disassembled the brake pedal from the booster a couple years ago. I recently found it and now I have no idea what it goes to, if I need it... and if I do, how to get aother one. Thanks

One possibility. On the upper part of the brake pedal arm there is a bracket that holds a plastic fitting. The fitting is connected to a hose for the vacuum dump valve for the speed control.

Is that what the yellow button is for? There is a yellow button that appears to be attached to a hose that goes backwards toward the front of the dash and then curves upward, like it goes into the gauge cluster or something. Thing is, the brake pedal arm butts against it when the pedal is not pressed in. I thought it was either a brake light switch, or the BOO switch.. or are those 2 the same thing?

The yellow button is for the dump valve. The hose makes a U-turn and goes out to the fender to the Speed Control Servo. You can see the hose all the way to the left by the floor. The brake light switch is the BOO (Brake On/Off) switch and is the metal switch mounted to the brake pedal arm.
