Depending on how drastic of a change you went with the gears (4.10's and up) you have to change the gear that is around the tailshaft as well (inside the tranny)
If I remember correctly, there is just one 10mm bolt holding the speed sensor to the trans and you'll need the black gear for 3.73's.
I really couldn't remember. I changed it way back in '94. The color really doesn't matter anyway. It's the 23 tooth count that does.
BTW - The factory gear for my original 3.08 was powder blue. I still have it.
Man i would have lost something that small SO fast. lol
