where is the watery liquid coming from in my EGR spacer?

i did a fox throttle body conversion on my 95 mustang. i used the egr spacer just so i can use it to mount the throttle cable bracket. i blocked the water lines on the spacer and made a block off plate for the egr.

i decided to make my own EGR delete spacer instead so when i removed it i noticed water on the inside of the spacer. also in the intakes egr system. i'm not running egr or air.

anybody see this before?

Not sure but I'm pretty sure the 95 is like the fox bodies in this matter. There is a water jacket in the EGR spacer. This was for emissions reasons. It provides quicker warmups and better cold starts (I could be wrong on that, anyone want to disagree?). Anyway, you don't need to worry about it just cap all the coolant lines. It won't hurt your emissions numbers too much since cold start isn't usually checked. If you will ever have to pass emissions I would leave the EGR though. It does not hurt power output, can improve fuel economy, and improves NOx output dramatically.

I think his coolant lines are blocked off.

and I disagree about the purpose of the lines, but no one really knows (i think the 200* coolant cools the intake since there is 600* exhaust going through the EGR. a heat riser is more effective at aiding cold starts, IMHO). Many of us have agreed to disagree on that one before. you could be right - we just dont know.

confirmation on whether the EGR coolant lines are plugged/blocked will help us help him.

could it have been condensation? I cant think of any other real cause of water up there.
