in your garage dude! x pipes are no problem at all.

if you really want to pay and get it professionally done though, go some where trust worthy. Dont get it done as a "side job", and dont go somewhere that's ratty. If it looks crappy, and they look like they're running an illegitiment buissness, just leave. Dont let them tamper with your car

obviously I'd rather not pay. I'd do it myself, but all I am doing is removing the h-pipe and replacing it with the x-pipe, keeping everything else stock. Can I get the h-pipe out easily? also, do I need MIL's if this is all I'm doing?

if it's cat-less you'll need MILs but I've heard of some of the catted x-pipes throwing codes too.

Use a reliable muffler shop if you aren't up to the task yourself. At the shop, check out the work, you will see if the are hacks easily enough. Also check out what kind of cars are rolling in the place.

Going to a custom shop to do the install isn't a bad idea and they usually won't charge more than a typical muffler shop for that type of install. Just don't make the mistake that I did and go to a shop on a simple recommendation. Make sure you check them out.

Use the link in my signature and go to my Car Domain site and look at the exhaust page.....it tells the story plain enough.
