Where the hell are the grease fittings?

Hey, I know this is a really dumb question but I've done many oil changes on my 95 GT and have yet to locate the grease fittings on this car.
Can someone tell me - or even better yet show a picture - of where the damn grease fittings are?
I could be wrong, but I think I've seen other threads even claim that there aren't any!
:bang: :bang:

I dont recall much of anything to grease. By the time of the SN95's (and foxes, really) Ford was using sealed components with low friction materials on the inside.

If you have aftermarket U-joints, you might have zerk fittings to put the grease gun on.

Good luck.

Ok, thats what I was hoping to hear. In the absence of greasing anything, is there anything else that I should have been doing maintenance-wise while doing the oil change?

FWIW, my previous mustang was a 1978, which had more than a couple of fittings, IIRC. So I was a little confused when I couldn't find any in this newfangled 1995 :)

Ha - I know whatcha mean - it makes you feel kinda useless when you cant whip out the grease gun.

I normally just give things a once over (I still pull wheels to check for slop, etc) and just do a visual check (as I know you do). But I cant think of a whole lot that you can do, greasing wise. I cant say that I'm disappointed (I cut my teeth on old stuff).

Thanks!
One other question, that probably ought to go into a new thread but I'll drop it here anyways.
Has anyone ever seen an aftermarket oil pan for a 5.0? Or one that has a different depth and/or capacity than the standard for the 1995?
I ask this because the dipstick in my 1995 records nothing near the amount expected. When I add the full 5 quarts that the haynes manual says my engine holds, I am about 1.5 inches above "full" on the dipstick.
I thought that maybe the dipstick was the problem, so I had a ford dealer order a new one for me, and I see the same thing.
Any ideas? I know that of course I could just re-mark the new dipstick to correctly show full...

dah! I finally found that second drain plug, the one that is almost completely vertical, almost halfway between the front and rear of the bottom-most part of the oil pan! I guess that means that I've been doing half oil changes all this time. And I always just figured that the difference between what I thought I needed to add and what I got out was just due to oil burning or leaking (both are likely in my car)...

Out of curiosity, anyone know how long the 5.0 has had two oil drain plugs? Did the old 302's have it too? Not that I was fortunate enough to have a v8 in my old 1978.

The double sump pan is for the oil pickup in the front - they've been around for a bit.

I'm gonna toss a gopher out for future searchers. Some of the fox dipsticks were indeed known to be mismarked from the factory. Most of us have etched a new mark to represent full. I havent heard of that being an issue on 94-95's.

And don't feel bad - lookin for a second drain plug isn't exactly intuitive (it's a good idea to check for two on any sumped oil pan).
