where the HELL can I get 1 tamper proof torx bit

I need that t-20 tamper proof torx to clean the MAF, and I swear they used to have individual ones at auto zone. I drove around town yesterday looking for an individual one, and nowhere has one, they all have a set of bits that they want ~$40, can anyone guide me as to where to look?

Ace hardware stores usually have them. if not they can order it for you.

When I replaced my grille emblem, I needed one of those bits.

Advance Auto Parts had a set of 8 I believe, for very cheap, like less than $10 I think. Check there. If you don't have an Advance Auto, try AutoZone.

Edit: I see you have checked AutoZone, I guess just try Advance Auto.

Agreed. Just start calling around till you find someone with a set. I had a real hard time finding individual ones. The 10 dollar kit works ok till you can get a good set from a swapper.

You could also just remove the TP screws and use machine screws with phillips heads if needed. Vice grips will get a TP fastener off most of the time.

my c&l kit came with the tip i need i was impressed but for 300 bucks i think they could throw in a damn bit lol

its a vermont tool if you want i could get you the part # if it would help ...its a single piece
