Hey guys,

I need a new front 02 sensor. I have been getting two CEL codes for the front 02 sensor heater, bank 1 (P1131, P0135). I use to think it was my MAC LT Headers, but I have since swapped to BBK LT headers, and still get the same codes. So Im thinking I have a bad 02 sensor. Now Bank 1, is that passenger side? And where is the best place to buy one? I know they are around $60 from what i have heard. Would I be better off buying it online or at a local auto parts store, they gonna be around the same price? And if so, what auto parts place would carry these? And is there a specific sensor for bank 1 and bank 2, or does it not matter, I just need to get a front 02 sensor?

Thanks for the help!

9F472-1 is the part number I believe, both right and left side are the same. Bank 1 is the passenger side, correct. Front/back are different however. SeanHylandMotorsport sells them, probably some other places too (OEM distributors and stuff, but those will cost a bit more usually). When I tried to buy a replacement from my local Autozone they gave me some crappy sensor that was about twice as big, and didn't reach the socket to plug it in. In this case it's probably best to go with the correct replacement, and not a crappy "one size fits all" type thing they sold me, so order online or even try your local ford dealer.

Your best to go with the Motorcraft 02's. Pm Randy Stinchcomb and he'll fix you up. Or look him up at "Parts Forum" @ www.ModularDepot.com

Thanks for the info! I checked the Sean Hyland Site and they have a $60 front 02 sensor. Just want to make sure this is a direct OEM replacement and will work fine for my front passenger side (bank 1) 02 sensor:

I just got 2 front 02 sensors from Autozone. The brand was bosch and are supposed to be oem. Cost me about $150 after tax. They pretty much looked like that pic.

Don't buy from anyone except Ford or from Randy Stinchomb. Randy will get it cheap for you.

I picked one up from Advance auto parts when I needed to replace one, it was bosch, cost the dealer $60 beings it happened 5 miles after I got the car from them. It went in without a problem and reset it self after drving it around for a bit.
