Well I need the grommet since I changed the pump out and the freakin blue valve assembly broke when i dropped the tank. Does anyone know where I can get these parts for a reasonable price? I went to my local dealership and they wanted:

Grommet/Seal - F8ZZ 9008 BC - $51.86
Valve Assembly - F8DZ 9B593 - $94.08

:bs:Sounds way overpriced, am I getting robbed? Also, the valve assembly they ordered is different than the number on my actual part - mine says F8DC 9B593 AC. DOes it matter or is it the wrong piece?

Thanks for the help. This is for a 2002 GT.

97predator...try to find someone with a parts car and make them an offer. They might even just give it to you. Did you give the dealership the vin # when you asked for the part? If not then that might be the reason, unless maybe the differences in the part numbers are insignificant...but yes those parts are costly (how often is it gonna need to be replaced afterall?)...

Can you post pics of the parts you want? I recently swapped the pump on my '98, and it came with extra parts (since 98's have bastard fuel systems). Anyway, post up some pics and I'll see if I have what you need.

Numbers on Ford parts will not match the number on the box. Ford puts what is known as an "engineering number" on the parts to indicate what division of the Company the part is from. The service part numbers will always be different, plus there are parts updates to improve performance or reduce overlap.
