Someone hit my car (at work ) and knocked off my side scoop. They also stole the scoop to hide the evidence.
I was wondering if there is a site that sells painted mustang body parts online? I need a passenger side-scoop in mineral gray for my '01 GT. Any ideas?
It would probably look bad to get a painted panel because of the color difference. When a panel is painted, in order for it to look right, it needs to be blended into the surrounding panels.
I would look @ your local Ford wrecking yard, or Craigslist. Mineral gray is a very common color. What sidescoops does your car have, because some years are different. I think that may have only been in 99-00 though, but not 100% sure.
same thing.. i had a shop order a new one with the clips and it was already painted for $187. blended in and looks perfect, coulnt tell.. and that was at 65k
if you have a low deductible and comprehensive insurance just turn it in. If not just go to a local shop and get an estimate. Should not cost you anything for an estimate, if it does go somewhere else.
it just depends...the body shop I went to for my old body kit painted my side scoops and didnt blend the paint and they looked perfect. Then again this guys has done rides for Summit and other magazines...but sometimes you dont need to blend the paint, in that case it would be cheap.
