dont really know about the pcv system except that you cant run one with boost....youll need a breather instead. as far as the broken bolt goes....i wouldnt trust it at all. no sense is destroying something you worked so hard for. on a stock N/A motor it would probably be fine for a little bit, but with boost i would definetly fix it

Where to connect pcv after vortech install / broke lower intake bolt???

OK, tommorow is D-day...iv been working on this car for months and tommoro i will finnaly be putting the last few things on and hopefully starting her up after many mods.....wher do i connect the pcv bypass? it has a cap for the intake...a filter and some vacume line...this came with my vortech s/c kit and it does not say where to mount in the instructions.....also..during my typhoon intake install...i broke one of the center lower manifold bolts...it is the one that is paired up with another bolt right next to it...will i be ok for a couple of weeks or is this going to create a huge vacume leak or worse...thanks in advance.......

but where to vent the pcv??? just attached to the filter and vent to atmosphere??? also...with the broken bolt being right next to another properly torqued bolt....will this still cause a problem....this will only be temporary.....about 500 miles...

OK I THOUGHT ABOUT VENTING THE PCV IN TO THE VALVE COVER VENTELATION AND JUST CAP OFF THE THROTTLE BODY AND INTAKE VACUUM PORTS...BUT WOULD THAT DEFEAT THE PURPOSE??? OR MAYBE, WORK?

I'm pretty sure you run the pcv valve in the back of the lower intake and the hose goes to the upper as normal...mine was like that when I got it w/ the blower. What differs is that you pull the hose that goes from the valve cover to the throttle body - instead it goes from the valve cover to the airbox/atmosphere. Some guys also run the breather instead of an oil cap, but a lot of them end up having an oil residue in their engine bay

As far as the broken bolt, I did the same thing...I actually broke a chunk out of my head, so I pulled it, re-tapped the threads and threw it back on. Why would it just be for 500 miles? I don't think it would actually hurt anything, but you might end up w/ a vacuum leak, so the car may not run as well, but that's just my opinion. Temporaily , long-term :

Vent the valve cover to the inlet tube of the supercharger. I put an inline fuel filter inbetween mine so oil would not get through, but it's not sucking any oil so far....If you use a breather when you boost that becomes a potential boost leak. I had a breather but it was more of a pain then being helpful.
