Hey guys - just a very elementary question, but I've not been able to find one. I want to install a chrome hurst shifter handle (and the appropriate boot) with a white ball knob and can't seem to find where to just buy those items. Well, the shifter ball is very easy, but not just the handle. Anyone know?

Thanks!

2 kids + stay at home wife + mortgage + 'stang pymt + minivan pymt = ~$0 for upgrades to daily transportation.

But thanks for the Autozone tip, maybe I'm looking too hard. Been to ebay, Mr. Gasket (Hurst) website, stangnet classifieds, goggled it................

I've just always loved the look of a chrome handle with the white ball coming up out of the trans tunnel. Just has that muscle car mojo going on.

Screw Autozone those idiots.
Checker auto parts or www.ebay.com will have it.

I've searched ebay 'till I'm blue in the face with no luck. Checkers, Advance, Parts America all share the same website and none list one. I think I'll go down to my friendly Advance in the morning before work and see if I can get some face to face help. Actually, I think I found one on the Autozone website, but they wanted $67.99 for it, which made me think it wasn't really what I was looking for.

If anyone happens to stumble across one online, ebay or otherwise, please link it for me. I'm not lazy, just having no luck.

Thanks!!

I have the handle from my Hurst shifter. It has the new style knob also which is flat on top so the Q-Ball handle is better. Email me direct and I will send you pictures and ship to you in TN for $25.

You have been e-mailed kind sir!

For the record, I dropped in Advance this afternoon and dude spent like 20 minutes trying to look it up. Couldn't really find exactly what we were looking for so he said he would call Hurst tomorrow and talk with them. I don't know about other Advance stores, but mine has always gone above and beyond. Of course it helps that they see me in there once a week. I've always got some sort of project brewing. Right now it's an '86 RX7 GXL I picked up that needs a rebuild. What a different creature that thing is. I'm currently stumped right now until I find someone who will let me borrow a 2-1/8" 3/4" drive socket so I can get the flywheel off. Darned if I'll pay $28 at Sears for a 2-time use socket!.......Am I rambling, must be the Mt. Dew, sorry.

I had that in my 89. Unfort, it extended the throw. A few years later I had a local shop cut it down and weld it back together to shorten the throw.
