I'm looking for this style of stripe that is used on the Super Snake. I much prefer the single wide stripe over the dual stripes. I have only been able to find dual stripe kits on the web. http://www.shelbyautos.com/galleries/500ss/500ss06-640.jpg

If you are looking for vinyl you should be able to take a picture of whatever you want to your local graphics shop. We have one in our town for 6000. In my opion though, you should get them painted. It looks so much better when stripes are painted and not stuck on.

Baltimore Street Mods has a vinyl kit like that,http://www.baltimorestreetmods.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=49. I agree to get them painted on as it will look and last a lot better! HEAVYGT has that stripe design painted on and looks fantastic

I think that right there is proof that painting stripes over vinyl doesn't make that much of a difference to justify the expense.

Go vinyl.

Those do look good, for vinyl. But you can't do this with vinyl. If there's anything I love about our '05, it's the ghost stripes that have just a touch of blue pearl to them.

Not to mention, there is no extra maintenance for painted stripes. In the long run, a full body length design is well worth painting. When it is time for me to do the graphics I want, it will be painted.

Yep. Don't have to worry about not getting wax on the stripes, peeling, etc...

Back in the day, I had the vinyl hood stripe on my 85 GT and NEVER had a problem with it...

What would I choose for my 06???? Most likely vinyl. Mainly for the cost. Properlly taken care of, you will not have any problems with them.

However, IF you choose to go with paint, and I cant blame ya if ya got the scratch,,,, MAKE SURE THE PAINTER KNOW WTF HE IS DOING!!!!!!

When I was looking for my pony, I ran across an 06 white pony with black painted on stripes... and I have to say,,, they looked like ****! The paint was thicker then a dime in some spots, chattering around the grille. The tape lines lifted, and black got behind it.... They "tried" to fix it with touch up paint.. it looked like they used white out.

So be carefull whatcha do...

those stripes sure look like they're painted on!

My friend just recently got his dual 12" racing stripes with pinstripes on the side painted at a place in Ranch Cucamonga in southern cali...I think he paid about $1500 for the job..

Does anybody have pics of gloss silver stripes on satin silver? I'm thinking I will like this combo, but I cannot find pics of it anywhere!!! I'm taking the "less is more" approach.

HEAVYGT, that looks absolutely amazing.

does anyone have a pic of a black car with dark red stripes? I've been tossing that idea around for my car, but I need to see some pics of exactly that, before I decide. I'm looking for a dark red, almost like blood red.

Not only can they do it, they should be able to cut and install for cheaper than if you had ordered a set from any of the mentioned dealers.

Also, I wax mine and have had no problems.
