Where would i find a 3g Alt?? am looking to go with the rear mount battery option and also have underdrive pullies, so im trying to eliminate future problems. Is this alternator found at junk yards or what? I hear alot of people tlaking about it and havent been able to find where to pick one up. Thanks for the help.

I got my 3g alt. off a '95 mustang from a salvage yard. I think it cost me $50.00 and they had it ready for me when I arrived. I think I paid more for the wiring kit.

is there a difference between the 3G and say a new powermaster from summit? is that where i would find this wiring kit for a 3G anyway?

www.paperformance.com is where I got my 'kit'...

I got the 'premium wire kit' (I think is what it was called) and the alternator...It came with everything needed and color picture instructions

i got mine for car quest. 130 amp and came with the 3g conv plug. paid 150. not sure f i would go with a salvage yard one unless they can test it there. bad experiences with salvage yards.
