go to modularmustangracing.com. They sell the TKO 750 and TKO 900 good to 750fwtq and 900fwtq. The first one is $1900 and the 900 is $2100. They debur and cryo the gears. The owner was the first guy to go 8.99 and 154mph in a 5 speed mustang. It had twin turbo's. and put down close to 900rwhp. They also have a RBT 700 clutch assembly good to 700fwtq for $300. u never again will need a tranny.

Mine came from Pro motion, no link, sorry. Total cost was $2700.
That included:
tko 600
Modified clutch and pressure plate
Billet flywheel
Lakewood bellhousing
adj cable and quad
tri ax steeda shifter
yoke

A tko is not cheap.

If i had to do it again, i would opt for a tko 500 with close to stock gearing, i'm not the biggest fan of the 600's options.

They go for 1,600 on e-bay shipped new. Get a bellhousing from an SROD 15 bucks, clutch/pressure plate from summit 300, modify youre crossmember free, and if you want to be safe buy a trans blanket for 80 bucks from summit.

I have been thinking about that, but I think I am just going to build a G-force t5, I think I can do that a little cheaper

Once you add the upgraded mainshaft to the g force, it brings the price alot closer together. Couple that with the build labor, and it's even closer, not everyone was meant to build their own trans.

You'll need the Tremec bellhousing, they run about $180.00. You also need a 31 spline slip yoke for your driveshaft, about $70.00. I got the Yoke and bell from Summit. You MUST use GM Syncromesh fluid, get 3 quarts.

Clutch, Bellhousing, Yoke and crossmember are the things you are going to need.

Here's the parts I used when I put in my TKO:

Tremec TKOII (28 spline)
McLeod Scattershield Fms-m6392c
Fidanza Steel Flywheel $200 from D&D
Extended fork (Anderson)
McLeod clutch (28 spline)
FMS Aluminum driveshaft
Steeda shifter base w/ PRO 5.0 handle
20 gear tooth drive (3:55 gears)
28 spline clutch alignment tool
Pilot bearing
HD throw out bearing
3 quarts GM Synchromesh fluid

You don't need a new flywheel, steel bell, DS, or extended fork but I figured I would replace them while I had the trans out. The additione of the D/S and extended fork really made the process and overall quality much better. I would suggest calling D&D for your transmission needs. Good guys and decent prices: 248-735-6220

I was lucky, I found my trans, bell, shifter, clutch, D/S, extended fork and modified x-member on corral.net in a package deal with only 60 miles on them. Cost me $1800 for everything. View attachment 489675

I second the extended fork, which i do not have, but wish i did.
As tune said, you don't NEED the flywheel, but do you really want to put a resurfaced pos on a $2000 trans?

Yes, the stock cross-member has to be modified so the trans bolt downs are moved towards the back of the car, like so:
