Where to mount 4th gauge?

If I get center vent mounted gauges, then I have a space for anohter gauge, which I don't want/need.

I have a Tach already on the dash...

I'm thinking about one under my radio. I saw a company that sold gauges panels for there before....

how about on the hood?

I know you have a tach in the dash, everyone has a tach in the dash, but they are $hity and very innaccurate. right now i have my shift light set at 3500rpm and when i watch the stock tach and wait for the shift light to come on, the light flashes at like 3100 on the stock tach, and it gets worse as the rpms go up. I think an AM tach is well worth the cash as are all the other guages you probly have so u might want to look into the tach + 1 guage combo....if u put a panel in below the radio its going to be very hard to see. what about putting it in that black cowl grate on the hood? just some info and suggestions.

Chris, get the Tach pod, and just slap in another gauge or something. That way you have the tach mounted in the pod, your gauge (I know which one it is :D ), and then just do another one like an air fule ratio, oil temp, or something that you don't really need but could use. Just my .02

I'll swap it with my voltmeter, but where to put that, hmmm

that one could easily go down by the stereo or something as it is not as important as the "unknown" guage. i'd probably mount it right in front of the stock voltmeter though. :nice:

now, what's really got my noodle going is all this secrecy on the guage types........

Ditto. I'm putting my Volt gauge right in front of the (useless) stock one too. They are expensive, but AutoMeter sells some pretty trick caps for the back of them, when they aren't mounted in a pod. Carbon fiber and stuff, I was thinking about that route... and yeah, what's with a secret gauge? Kinda odd...

lol, it's not really a secret, I am adding some boost, and I don't want my friend to come on the board and see that. I'm goign to drive to his house with the blower whining away, just to see the look on his face and his first words, cause a blower is the LAST thing he would expect me to have.

I never said it was a secret, I just never siad what it was, lol

Yep. Chris is an avid turbocharger fan. I was surprised when he told me he was buying a blower, and I've only known him maybe 6 months. All he ever told me about was turbos, I was the opposite, a total blower fan, now I'm just jealous and slower. Just when I thought maybe I had caught up to him in power, he goes and "blows" me away...... till I get mine next summer...

i put my voltmeter which is a 2 1/16 in a carbon fiber mounting cup and mounted on the passenger side of my center console down where the console starts to curve up. i have it angled my way. easy to read. if i had batteries for my camera id take a pic. i think it looks pretty sweet
