Where to start

I just got my 2002 GT and I already have plans for a cat-back (Magnaflow) exhaust to go on. Removed the air silencer and nothing more. It is my first 4.6 parked in my garage (previously owned a 96 V6) and I am not sure where to begin to modify the car. I would like to stay away from anything too expensive (supercharger, nitrous, etc.) as I am still in college and don't have a large bank account yet. Basically, I am looking for the best bang for my buck and any advice would be much appreciated.

Definately some gears, 4.10s. I also noticed my most gains from my C&L setup and if you can afford it, long tubes.

My first mods, which i suggest, were subframes, shocks, struts and springs.
You could buy all those parts for the price of a magnaflow catback (not including install) and will make much more difference in drivability.

I defininetly recommend changing the gear to a 4.10. In my opinion this is the best bang for your buck.

Gears will be the best bang for the buck. 4.10's and no less if you're going to stay N/A.

Don't get cat back, get a mid pipe. You'll get some power out of that.

I would agree with most of the gus here, Gears 1st, then midpipe, catback, shocks/struts, springs, T/A etc.
