I hate the fact that the car is so damn low to the ground that even with ramps I cant really get under there enough to figure stuff out, haha.

What side of the tranny is the drain plug for a T-45 at? Just looking by the cramped amount of space ill probaly be refilling it through the shifter. If I do it this way, how high should I fill it up to, since theres no drain plug for it to spill out of when its full?

And as for tranny fluid... People seem to praise Royal Purple and Mobil 1, so I will look for either of those. I know it takes an ATF, but is it Dexron/Mercon-III ATF, or just regular ATF..? I hardly even see regular ATF anymore, pretty much just the III stuff.

Last thing... I did happen to notice while I was under there that there is a small amount of oil that looks like its seeping from the tailshaft of the tranny, wtf does that mean? I imagine the tranny fluid is a little low if its been doing that for long enough...:bang:

The drain plug is on the passenger side of a T45. Sounds like you may have a leaky seal too. Fluid, use what you want, Royal Purple is good but overrated in my opinion, any synthetic tranny fluid will do.
