which bolt pattern for my four lug 's?

k guys when trying to find rims they ask for a bold pattern.. such as 4x4.5" what is a four lug mustangs pattern, so that i can get rims?

4 X 4.25" bolt spacing is stock.

ok what about offset and bsm? does that stuff matter?also what do those mean?

Offset and BSM (im guessing back spacing measurement) does matter.
Proper backspacing depends on how wide a rim you want to run. The wider a rim the more backspacing will be required to keep the wheel from sticking out of the fenderwell.

17 x 7 should fit fine but.... why??? I'm looking to ge5t a set of 17 x 9s with 6.5 inch backspacing for mine. I'm told that my quads may be a problem and if that ends up being the case, I'll pull the quads, replace the upper and lower control arms, and perhaps toss in a set of panhard bars. Remember that commercial a while back? "WIDER IS BETTER". So true for the torque output of even a stock Stang.

well i get a huge like 75 percent discount from eagle rims company an the widest they make is 7 i wish i could get wider but i guess we will see... i also am getting tires for practically nothing so what are some good tires not for just the strip but for driveability all around?

Well the "Pony" wheel is 7 inches wide and has 4- lug, 4.25 bolt circle, 5.72 backspacing. So if you want the factory looking backspacing then this is what you go with.
As far as tires there are many good tires available. If cost is not an issue then I would go with some Michelins or Nitto's. But there so many others it is hard to choose from.

This looks like a good place to ask this. What year did the Fox body go from the the 4 lug to the 5 lug? A guy down the street just switched out his cobra R wheels and he has an 89. I have an 88.

87 i think except in the 93 cobra that one was four wasnt it?

I think mine has 4 lugs. Could it be 89 that they went to 5?

the only fox body with 5 lug wheels is the 93 cobra R. lots of people convert to 5 lug though. otherwise you are stuck with 4

1994 was the first year mustang came with 5Lug setup and 4 rear disc brakes. Unless you count the SVO mustangs which were 5lug and 4 wheel disc also. I'm in the progress of gather parts for my SN85 5lug swap.
