Which CAI filter to choose ?

Hi, I am putting on a MAC cold air intake on the fox body. It is the same fenderwell kit as the BBK. The filter is not usable.

The filter that came with it looks the same as the BBK # 1741 filter.

Which filter should I replace it with ?

The BBK one ? Is there a similar K&N, or should I go with a smaller cone filter like the SR performance kits ?

I was worried the smaller cone filter may not flow as well the bigger BBK one.

The bbk one will be fine. There will be no difference in air flow.

I like getting the universal filters from S&B Filters as a replacement. The quality is great. They make the filters for JLT and others. I like to size them up with the biggest size I can fit with a power stack top. The power stack top puts an additional inverse cone at the top of the filter for more surface area. I use their size locator and then just paste the part number into Amazon to order one.
