which CAI to get?

I have the Mac CAI and I hear its crap. WHat would give me some power, Ive heard the steeda one is good, also Ill be adding KB supercharger over the winter so what would go good with that?

You won't get much performance from a CAI, put the money towards a plenum and TB.

If you really want a CAI then get the Western MotorSports full system, it looks good, ceramic coated and comes with a pro-m. I wish I would have bought one instead of my BBK.

I have a full length Densecharger and it looks/works great. Any CAI made of any metallic meterial is a waste. The MAC is complete garbage and a waste of money. Its chrome-plated with acts as a freakin' heat conducter under that hood and just heats the air passing through it, defeating its whole purpose

If you're going to go CAI route, go Densecharger or some other application not composed of metal

Here we go again with this argument, I have seen this getting debated since I got my GT 2002. That's whats nice about the WMS, it's ceramic coated.

all I can say is dont get the BBK chrome one, I dont know who had my car before me but they took horrible care of the detailing so the chrome all rusted and chipped off, I had to sand it down and paint it becaues it looked so bad. I have heard and read lots of good things about the WMS CAI.

Sounds like a good one. The CAI on the market IMO is the Morpheus Power Pipe. However, they're purty pricey.

I don't see anything to argue about. Its quite simple. I had an MAC system before I tossed it in the freakin' garbage. After driving around a bit, the thing was way too hot to even touch. The tube walls are extremely thin, allowing for easy and efficient heat transfer to the air passing through inside. It's basically an oven, superheating the intake charge. I switched to a coated Densecharger and gained considerable SOTP performance as well as a bit more ponies at the wheels, I can even grasp the thing after the cars been running a while. The MAC and BBK systems look good, but that's about the only purpose they serve.

save your money cut open the stock box put in a k&n drop in filter and when your piggybank gets fat buy a supercharger. that way you don't have to throw away that 2 horsepower $200 CAI
